The land of flavours, the land of green: Irpinia is a flagship for wine lovers, a unique environment capable of expressing its own peculiarities also in the production of fine wine.

Taurasi is the emblem: the town is in the province of Avellino, in fact, it is the largest wine centre of the Valley of the Calore.

The climate, soil, exposure of the vineyards and the same quality of the grapes, make the place a particular area and fruitful for the production of all wines.

Among the special features of the territory, we can find the sprout Aglianico grapes which are a grape variety of Greek origin, which reflects a refined beverage, recognized, authenticated, guarded and protected by the brand DOCG ­ Designation of origin and guaranteed. The legislation considers the recognition of vineyards that are situated the hills of Irpinia or located in accurate areas and exposures that remain to be more suitable for the production.

Located in the centre of the country, every year in the month of August, the wine is celebrated in an exhibition full of animated events and food stands, articulated in the alleys of the Castle Marchionale, the manor of Lombardi origin that houses the Regional Wines of Irpinia.
